Hubrich Contracting is proud to continue its partnership with Durham Charter School through the development of a new elementary school campus at 5510 Wake Forest Highway in Durham, North Carolina.
The project includes a new 40,000-square-foot, two-story building utilizing tilt-wall construction, designed to support the school’s continued growth and provide a dedicated learning environment for younger students. The new facility will include 20 classrooms, administrative offices, storage and support spaces, a full commercial kitchen, commons area, and an exercise gymnasium.
Designed with both function and flexibility in mind, the campus will provide spaces for core instruction, art, music, dance, robotics, wellness, and student support. The building also includes collaborative breakout areas, a nurse’s office, open office space, and age-appropriate restroom facilities to support daily operations and student needs.
As general contractor, Hubrich Contracting is coordinating the project from permitting through construction, working closely with Mussman Architects and the project team to deliver a durable, efficient, and student-centered elementary school environment. The new campus reflects Durham Charter School’s continued investment in long-term facilities that support academic excellence, operational efficiency, and future growth.
