Hubrich Contracting is proud to serve as the construction partner for Riverside Leadership Academy’s brand-new K–8 facility scheduled to open for students this fall located on a 56-acre campus in New Bern, North Carolina. Designed to support a project-based learning model, the new school reflects Riverside’s commitment to hands-on education, creativity, and student engagement.
The 40,769-square-foot, two-story main building includes classrooms, administrative offices, art labs, a music room, a playroom, a commercial kitchen, and dedicated performing spaces—including in-classroom stages. The school maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:20, with teaching assistants in K–3rd grade classrooms to ensure individualized support.
Construction also included the installation of several semi-permanent leased modular buildings to support initial enrollment growth and flexible programming needs. The facility features LVT flooring throughout and was built using wood frame construction for cost-effective, durable delivery.
Riverside Leadership Academy was designed to serve the community for years to come, blending academic innovation with thoughtfully planned infrastructure.
